Polartrace alerts for Slack
Monitor alerts and recoveries, posted to the Slack channel you choose. Connect in three clicks - there's no webhook to create, copy or rotate.
Included on Growth, Pro and Enterprise. Polartrace posts only to the channel you pick and never reads your messages.

Install
Add Polartrace to Slack
The install starts in the Polartrace console, so the connection is tied to your organization. It takes about a minute.

Sign in to Polartrace
Use an account that can manage integrations (an owner or admin), on a plan that includes Slack alerts. New to Polartrace? Create an account first.

Click Connect Slack
Open Monitors › Settings in the console and click Connect Slack. The Add to Slack button on this page takes you straight there.

Pick a workspace and channel, then Allow
Slack shows its own permission screen. Choose your workspace and the channel alerts should post to, then click Allow. If your workspace needs admin approval, you'll see Request to install instead.

You're connected
You land back in Polartrace with a Slack connected confirmation, and a welcome message appears in the channel. Click Send test message to check delivery any time.

Route monitors to Slack
On any monitor, set the notification channel to Slack or Email + Slack. Its next alert and recovery post to your channel.

What Polartrace stores
- Your workspace's ID and name
- The chosen channel's ID and name
- The posting address Slack creates for that channel
- A bot token, used only to remove the app when you disconnect
- Which Polartrace user connected it, and when
What it never does
- Read messages, channels or files
- See your member list
- Post anywhere but the channel you picked
The posting address and token are never shown in the console or returned by the API. Disconnecting, or removing the app in Slack, deletes them.

Pricing
No separate charge for Slack.
Installing the app is free. Slack alerts are part of the Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans, at the plan's published price. Free and Starter don't include Slack alerts.

Change channel or uninstall
- Change channel: Monitors › Settings › Change channel, then pick a new one on Slack's screen.
- Disconnect: Monitors › Settings › Disconnect. This also removes the app from your workspace, unless another Polartrace organization still posts there.
- From Slack: remove Polartrace in your workspace's app settings. Polartrace notices and shows Connect Slack again.
